Build Quality
Our review unit was well packaged in a cardboard mould and each component individually wrapped in plastic. The copper base was covered with a plastic sticker that came off without leaving any apparent residue.
When we looked at the radiator fins, we couldn’t see any that were either bent or out of alignment with the others and the black finish was uniform over the whole unit. Cooler Master Nepton branding on the sides of the radiator was small and subtle. The hoses felt sturdy and lived up to the claim of being kink resistant.
The cable braiding on both fans and pump leads was done well and looks high quality. The y-splitter for the fan is only half braided for some reason but it looks intentional.
We didn’t have any difficulty following the instruction manual so as far as build quality, packaging and the manual goes – The Nepton 120XL passed with flying colours.
