Pricing
As with all Logitech G series products, there is the RRP that scares you and the street price that seems much more reasonable. The RRP on the G910 Orion Spark is $249 but the street price has been seen as low as $188 which is a good deal. It’s still a lot of money to spend on a keyboard but the consensus here is that this one is worth the extra cash.
Conclusion
This is the keyboard that we’ve been waiting for. After using it for over 6 weeks, it has been great for touch typing or gaming and is notably quiet compared to other mechanical keyboards. I’m convinced that the key cap contours and keyboard layout has reduced my number of mis-strikes. For casual gaming, the lighting profiles that light up the relevant keys are more useful than I had expected. We will be watching with interest to see if a smaller version without a number pad emerges for dedicated gaming but the G910 Orion Spark is a fantastic universal keyboard for work or play and it’s easier on the ears than other mechanical keyboards. It’s hard to say if the masses will notice the higher actuation point but the keys do feel snappy and we found gaming on our review sample a dream.
The Orion Spark isn’t cheap but it’s a keeper and worth saving up the extra cash to get a keyboard that feels like it was made for your hands.
